Woodcote Rally 13-14 July 2013
Tuesday Set Up

The rally field is now starting to look like a real Rally Field! All the marquees are now in place including the craft tent and beer tent (let's hope CAMRA don't forget to bring the beer!). Virtually all the marking out is done with some minor bits left to do. Weather is looking fine for the weekend so let's hope for a bumper turnout.

Monday Set Up

Things have moved rapidly today. The grass bales have been removed. The main ring and working areas are now in place and the tractor, model steam, stationary engines and motor bike areas are marked out and roped. The vehicles lines and the entertainment stage are also in place and the fun fair has started to arrive. Looking forward to seeing the marquees arrive tomorrow (including the most important one - the beer tent!). Watch this space tomorrow....

Sunday Set Up

Things are going a little slower than hoped although the grass has now all been baled and wrapped and is being removed. We've managed to get the main marker pins in the ground showing the main ring and the tractor/steam working area. We've taken on jobs normally done much later in the week including fencing in the main car park and filling in the pot holes in Tidmore Lane. The weather forecast for the rest of the week is good and dry so we should easily make up lost time and our set up time allows for one day of total rain and no work. So see you all at the weekend at the 53rd Woodcote Rally. I'll continue to update daily to confirm progress.
