Day Four of the Rally set up

We are so ahead of ourselves that we may be able to take some time off this next few days and relax and enjoy the good weather. The first of the marquees arrived today and most importantly the beer tent is just about finished.

The rest of the field is taking place nicely and a general shot is here:

and our first steam engine has actually arrived! Keep watching for further daily updates!

Day Three of the Rally set up

For most of us it was back to work today but the day crew continued to make excellent progress in the set up meaning there's not too much left to do in terms of set up.

The evening crew started and continued the good work with fencing erected in the car park field and other equipment put in the place.

The fun fair then started to arrive:

Then the evening crew decided they were far too ahead of themselves and held a meeting to decide which pub they should retire to for the rest of their shift!

Day Two of the Rally set up

We started the day by moving Pat Booker's cows out of the Car Park field into one of her other fields. This was a first for most of us and a good experience and you wouldn't believe how fast they can move once they get going.

We then returned to the field to continue the set up and as well of lots of other things the stage for the live music is now in place.

One good decision made early in the morning was to erect a gazebo in the Marshall's area. We don't normally do this until one of the last things but it proved to be a god send as it gave us an area to shelter from the sun as required and soon became the Rally Field Office!
