Woodcote Rally 13-14 July 2013
Just 7 days to go to Woodcote Rally 2014

Woodcote Rally 2104 starts in just 7 days time and we've now started preparing the farmers field. We've made really good progress today (thanks to the kind weather) meaning a lot of the marking up is done. See below a couple of photos which show the marking out of the access road around the field and the main exhibition ring showing the entry and exit gates.

(I'll continue to post photos each day as we progress towards the opening day!)

Woodcote Rally 2014

Just two weeks to go now and it will all be happening. A simple farmer's field will be converted into a major event where great fun and entertainment will be had by all.

This is what the field looks like today but I'll provide daily updates as we start to change it starting next weekend. Let's hope for some decent weather and that you come in your droves to support our efforts in raising as much money as we can for our local charities and worthy good causes in the Woodcote and surrounding areas.

Didcot Power Station

The 2014 Woodcote Rally is your last chance to see the Didcot Power Station as it stands of now from the Rally field after nearly 50 years of its existence and operation.  Today, RWE NPower have announced that on the Sunday morning of 27 July 2014 they will be blowing up the three southern cooling towers which means the vista of the South Oxfordshire Countryside is going to change for ever - how will I find my way home with that iconic landmark now gone!

Whitchurch Toll Bridge is still closed so if you're coming to the Woodcote Rally from south of the Thames you'll need to take the diversionary routes via Goring-on-Thames in the West or Reading in the East.

Most sat navs with auto updates and Google Maps know this and will redirect you accordingly.

Please buy your advanced ticket now to avoid the additional charges that will apply on the day of entry. Our advanced weekend tickets offer the best value for money so please don't delay and risk missing out.

Officially our last day for advanced ticket sales is 30 June 2014 but we are happy to extend this by a few days to Thursday 03 July 2014 for postal delivery. If you want to order advanced tickets after this date but before the Rally starts then you'll have to make arrangements to come and collect them.

Fawley 2014

Woodcote Rally representatives spent this last weekend at Fawley Manor, Buckinghamshire, taking part in the celebrations to mark the 70th Birthday of Lady Judy MacAlpine.

Last year we attended their event to mark the 100th Birthday of their Steam Engine no 31!

It was  a great steam event with over 80 large and small engines in each class there.

Well done the Fawley organisers.

Woodcote Rally had a stall there where we sold over 60 pounds worth of memorabilia to be put to our normal, worthy good causes that we support to give away to local good causes and worthy charities, but more importantly we introduced many new people to Woodcote Rally who didn't know about us from far and wide and said they would come this year
